Scores and schedules are facts, and this archive treats them that way — but where they come from still matters. Here is exactly what is behind each page.
The stream index
Ewert Sports indexes streams; it does not rehost them. When a school’s YouTube channel, NFHS Network, Hudl or a local station is carrying a game, we list it and link to it — playback stays on whoever produced it, and their ads, subscriptions and access rules apply exactly as they normally would.
Only genuinely public, embeddable broadcasts ever play inside our own player. Subscription and school-restricted streams are always a labelled link out, so you know before you click whether you can actually watch.
YouTube channels are polled daily through the public per-channel RSS feed and the official YouTube Data API. NFHS Network and Hudl publish no per-game feed, and Hudl streams are usually limited to a school’s own community — those are listed at the school level, or added by hand, rather than guessed at.
If you are a broadcaster and want a link removed, ask and it comes down.
Where the archive comes from
The backbone is the WIAA school directory — the sanctioning body’s own public database of member schools, teams, enrollments and contest schedules. It is the authoritative record for Wisconsin high school athletics, and it is the source for 48,544 of the contests here. Every school page links back to its directory entry.
The rest (0 contests) comes from imported spreadsheets — conference record books, athletic directors, and our own scorekeeping — loaded through the CSV importer.
What it does not cover
Seasons before 2023–24. The WIAA directory only publishes school years from 2023–24 forward. Older seasons have to be imported from another source you have the right to use. If you have a conference record book or an old spreadsheet, it can be loaded — the archive is built to take it.
We do not copy content from other high school sports sites. WisSports.net in particular reserves its content explicitly, and its owners have not granted permission for reuse, so nothing here is taken from it. Where you see a school, a score or a schedule, it came from the WIAA or from a file we were given.
Corrections
Scores get entered by hand somewhere upstream, so mistakes happen. If something is wrong, tell us and it gets fixed — standings recompute themselves the moment a score changes.

Ewert Sports is an independent broadcaster. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated on behalf of the WIAA, any conference, any school district, or any school.
